You are invited to join us in May as we hold Elderberry Wisdom Farm’s Five-Year Anniversary Celebration. It will be held on Thursday afternoon, May 23 at 3:00 PM (Pacific) on Zoom to make it easier for our colleagues to join us for an hour of celebrating and announcements. Please register to reserve your spot.
Elderberry Wisdom Farm has celebrated lots of opportunities and successes and overcome a few tests and challenges since our formation in 2019, including three years during the COVID Pandemic, and our newness as a nonprofit of color. But the encouragement and support of our board, staff, consultants, partners and funders helped us to grow from zero income to almost $465,000 income in the past four years.
We especially want to honor and acknowledge our team, including Dr. Aaronda Mayo (Seminole, Cherokee), Sara DeHoff, NGO Administrator, Marsha Holt Kingsley, Native Plant Nursery Specialist, Amy Treasure (Siletz), TOPP Tribal Liaison, Deena Fishbein, Independent Financial Consultant, Sam Forencich, Film Producer, and all of our past and present Habitat Restoration Interns who have contributed so much value to our growth and richness.
We continue to express gratitude to the members of our board of directors who oversee and support our work, including Duane Medicine Crow (Crow), Janice Cockrell, Wohpe Two Feathers (Pokanoket), Barb Butterfly Newcomb, Max Defender (Turtle Mt. Chippewa/Dakotah), and Roxanne Jensen (Tsimshian).
Our volunteer filmmaker, Sam Forencich came down to film our volunteer activity in March and recorded a few comments from our team in our greenhouse as we were planting some new Native bareroot plant starts into pots. He produced a film clip invitation. Enjoy!
If you’d like to join us for the celebration, please register.
