Spring is here, and the workload is getting heavier. Besides filling out a lot of paperwork for transitioning our farm to organic, I have been visiting with a lot of other Native farmers. I have been helping out with starting an organic gardening class at Native American Youth and Family Center (NAYA), and I am excited to say that we are moving forward. I have been studying up a lot on the importance of gardening/farming organically. I feel a little bit more confident each time when I am helping out those who have questions about the organic world. This spring will definitely keep me busy with the few partners who have expressed interest in the transition.
